CD – Week 3

Had another good week, stuck almost 100% to plan apart from having a small chicken salad mid-week as I wnt out for lunch with my parents as Mum isn’t too well and it really cheered her up. Still loving the chocolate tetras and the peanut and mit cho bars – a great combination and makes this diet much easier to manage.

Had my 3rd weigh-in and this week it was…

-3lbs

So in 3 weeks I’ve lost 1st 2lbs – I cant believe it’s been so quick and I feel so much better. My skin looks great and this week I have a noticable difference in size and can wear clothes I’ve not been able to fit in for awhile. I’ve just 7lbs to get back to my lowest weight, so hopefully I’ll get there in the next couple of weeks then I’ll be able to fit in to all my clothes :)

I then can’t wait to get below that weight and continue downwards – it’ll be great to be in size 16′s comfortably then hopefully 14′s then 12′s. These last 3 weeks have gone so quick as I’m so busy at work and everywhere so it just feels like the weight is falling off with no effort.

The only down side is that at my work there are lots of temptations – there is always loads of food handed around and everyone eats such lovely smelling lunches! But luckily I’m so busy that I try to ignore it all!

CD – Week 2

I’ve enjoyed my second week, the peanut and mint bars are yummy! I really wont be craving any chocolate on this diet with chocolate shakes, mint choc pars and peanut choc bars – and they really are tasty, it feels like I’m naughty eating the bars as they dont taste like they are low calorie :D

So went to my second weigh in and I have lost…

- 4lbs

So thats 13lbs in 2 weeks – nearly a stone! I’m so pleased I’ve come back on this diet as my clothes were all starting to get tight and uncomfortable. I can feel that I’ve already got a bit slimmer as things are feeling less tight already.

CD – Week 1

Well the first week has gone really well, stuck on plan 100% and got through a whole week. I had the usual carb withdrawl headache one the first day then I ached all over on the second day but by day 3 I was feeling much better and nearly back to normal.

Had a good weigh in this week and lost…

-9lbs

So thats great!

I’m starting having bars this week and so have gone for 2 chocolate tetra paks a day and 1 bar. I have gone for peanut and mint choc, both are flavours I really like and so I should enjoy them. They are both crispy bars too as I remember from last time that I wasn’t keen on the chewy bars.

Cambridge Diet – Part 2

Well here we are again, and I’m ready to start the Cambridge Diet again.

It’s been a crazy few months after moving to London I had a very busy wedding photography season last year. With the move to London I also decided to close down my Wedding Photography business after finishing all my weddings and pursue another career. After finishing most of my photography work off last year I then decided to pursue a career in PR and this year I started a job in this field in a great company.

Now that I’m in my new job and things are settled down I decided it was time to start Cambridge again and so I found a counsellor that lives near I work so I can easily get to her and have weigh in’s and get packs.

Had my first meeting today, I’m currently 15st 4lbs – I managed to maintain my weight at about 14st 8lb for a year but then managed to pile on the pounds in the first month of my job – think the new routine messed up my system a bit and I put on weight much easier.

So off I go on the diet again. I’m starting off on SS (Sole Source) which is 3 packs a day – I’m having 3 chocolate tetra paks a day as they are one of the only things I like and they are quick and convenient :)

I will be starting on Sunday – wish me luck!

The end of Cambridge for now

Well that didn’t last long! I’ve run out of money and can’t afford to continue the Cambridge Diet. I’ll update when I next go back on to a VLCD, hopefully it won’t be too long!

See you soon!

CD – Week 2

As with my LighterLife posts, I’m now going to go on to weekly Cambridge Diet posts after I’ve got the 1st week over and done with.

So far I’m not having a bad week, I have a horrid cold and a really bad back. This is making me feel a bit grumpy and feeling sorry for myself, especially as I have lots of work to do.

Been sticking to the plan well, 1 bar in the morning, 2 tetras and a 200kcal meal.

I had one tiny blip in the evening this week, just ate a couple of tiny things that shouldn’t do too much harm, I had less in my meal to balance it out a bit. I know why I did it, it was because my cold was really bad, my back was killing me and I’d been working hard all day. I ran out of energy and felt miserable and just ate to give me a bit extra energy. Will make sure I keep 100% the rest of the time.

Need to go shopping as I have no food for my meals this week. I have my George Foreman grill to use and don’t have any food to try on it. I’m going to buy tome chicken breasts, mushrooms and corgettes – might see if there is anything else I fancy. Maybe some cottage cheese so I can have half tuna/half cottage cheese a couple of nights – that would be nice.

Trying to decide if I fancy lettuce, is it too cold to have salad? Nah, I think it’s still warm enough :)

Well I went shopping, I bought:

  • Some mini chicken breast fillets, enough for 3 meals
  • A corgette that I can slice up and use as my veg option
  • 3 Large mushrooms – each one is about the size of my veg choice for a meal
  • Some frozen Cauliflower and Broccoli
  • Some cans of tuna in spring water
  • A pot of cottage cheese
  • Some pre cooked chargrilled sliced chicken

That should keep me going for awhile – plus its good to have variety as I never know what I might fancy.

This week is going well still, keeping on plan so I hope to lose some weight this week. I have the feeling it wont be a massive loss this week due to my having a cold and a bad back, so I have hardly moved from the sofa. When  was on LighterLife and had a cold I had a low loss that week too.

Cambridge Diet – Day 7 (Weigh-in)

Another good day today so far, had my weigh in and I was 9lbs down. Thats not 100% accurate as last time I was wearing books and a skirt and this time I was wearing jeans and no shoes – I’ve worked out that the difference between my boots + skirt compared to my jeans is about 2lbs, so I would estimate my loss this week at about:

-7lbs

So I’m very pleased with that!

This week I’m continuing with 3 packs and a 200kcal meal as it’s really suiting me well. I’ve also started on bars this week, I’ve ordered 3 peanut, 2 cranberry and 2 orange ones.

I had a peanut one on the way home and it was yummy! Just had a Chocolate milkshake too, so just one more milkshake and a meal to go today.

Not feeling very well today, I have a cold and a terrible back ache so feeling a bit grumbly. Hope it goes soon and I get back to normal. At least my weight loss cheered me up!

Cambridge Diet – Day 6

Had a good day toady, I had 3 chocolate tetra pak milkshakes. I had to go all the way to Northampton today so the tetra paks are perfect for when I have to go out – it meant I could have all 3 meals whilst out in the car.

I also bought myself a small George Forman grill to help cook my SS+ meals. I love the way the grill cooks food and I got one with removable plates for easy cleaning. I’m looking forward to doing a grilled chicken breast with a grilled mushroom or corgettes – yum!

When I got home I had my first meal from the SS+ food list – canned tuna in spring water, yum yum! I need to buy some food to go on my George Forman grill, hopefully I can get to the shops soon!

Cambridge Diet – Day 5

I’ve been having a think about the diet today. I’m starting to find out what I like and what I don’t and starting to get in to the swing of things.

I don’t really like any of the Cambridge packs that you mix up – I was the same on Lighterlife I just had veg soup all the time as it was one of the only things I could  stand to keep eating, I also liked a few of the bars. I’m really weird with food and flavours, always have been. But I survived 5 months on Lighterlife with a limited amount of flavours, so I can do the same on cambridge. I like the tetra paks on Cambridge so I’m mainly going to stick to those, I have a feeling I’ll like the bars a lot too, so on the 3rd week when I start on bars properly I’ll probably have one a day of those too.

I’m popping to my counsellor later to exchange 10 of my packs for 10 milkshake tetra paks (or I might try 1 banana and 1 strawberry too) – that’ll keep me going till my proper meeting with her on Tuesday and I can get my next weeks food.

I’ve also decided that I’m going to change my Sole Source+ diet, the diet has 2 options for 610kcal

1. 4 packs + 200ml of skimmed milk (what I’m currently doing)
or
2. 3 packs + a 200kcal meal

I think I fancy changing to the 2nd option, as if I’m eventually going to be having 1 bar and 2 milkshake tetra packs a day, I could really do with having a savory meal too. The meal is pretty small, it’s a small amount of meat/fish/eggs (or there is a veggie option) and a small bit of veg. I think that sounds like a good idea especially as I like most of the things on the food list – you can see the food list here: http://bellelite.wordpress.com/cambridge-ss-food/

Cambridge Diet – Day 4

So I had a wedding to photograph today. I had a Pre-mixed chocolate tetra pak for breakfast and that kept me going until we’d finished shooting, I then had another one just before the journey home, hey are one of my fave flavours and so easy to have.

I had another one when I got home – it was nice as I was tired and so I just needed something easy to have.
